Adaptable Personal Communicator (CPA)

CPA is a Communication System for individuals with severe communication difficulties, based on pictograms with associated sounds. The project will be explained from its beginning in 2002 to current developments available for different kind of technologies.

e-Mintza: A Free Application for Augmentative Communication

e-Mintza is a free application that converts a PC or a tablet into an augmentative communication device, that can be fully individualized and it is accessible in different languages and voices. The presentation will be a practical demonstration of how e-Mintza can be used in everyday situations. Details will be given about its different functions and the team will provide real examples.

Comparative Study of Communicators

This study provide an extensive research on different applications developed the 3 main platforms. We´ve conducted a testing period to analyze extensively 10 different communication software, that is reflected on reference material. Our future aim is to offer, based benchmark of the reference material, to develop a decision making tool to use when considering the implementation of a communication system.

ZAC PICTO: virtual assistance

ZAC PICTO is a multimedia solution based in pictograms. It has been designed as a help for parents, professionals and other carers of individuals with autism, so that they have a useful and simple tool. Zac Picto includes a visual schedule as an assistant to learning, together with a social network.
